Isabelle’s first Fisher field trip (to the zoo)
We are lucky in so many ways.
Today, we feel lucky for having a life full of family, friends, and wonderful experiences with both. We feel lucky for being a part of the Fisher community. We feel lucky for both having jobs that would allow us to take a day off in the middle of the week so that we can go on our daughter’s first field trip. Truly, there is nothing better than seeing Isabelle running toward her friends and saying, “Hey friends.”
We couldn’t believe that we fit five children in our van, each with their own car seat. Although, the day was tiring, it was so much fun that we really didn’t notice until it was over. I really liked how the fisher dads were such a part of today. I know that Isabelle will probably not go on a lot of field trips where the majority of the chaperones are the fathers of the children on the trip. But, for today, she saw some amazing loving family time between fathers and their children. It was a beautiful thing.
The day went more smoothly than I could have imagined at the beginning of the experience. The teachers are just so wonderful, never stressing out or feeling overwhelmed. I just have to say… this could not have been a better first field trip. It was just the best.
